Kristan worked in the fitness industry as a Wellness Specialist for over ten years before leaving Boston to raise her three children in Marblehead. Kristan is a Yoga Alliance certified teacher. After completing her training with Gregor Singleton and Claire Estes McDonald she also studied with Jason Crandall completing his Essentials of Yoga Anatomy curriculum. As a teacher, Kristan favors a vigorous practice with a strong emphasis on both breathe, and compassionate action; providing a balanced mind/body connection. Her sequencing and style have been influenced by Baptiste Power Yoga and follow a dynamic and powerful balance of strength and flexibility. With her unique and gentle sense of calm, Kristan imparts a peaceful, serene atmosphere in the studio. Thus allowing each student to cultivatepphysical strength, along with emotional balance and clarity.
Kristan hopes to inspire courage, grace and a desire to live wholeheartedly on and off the mat. Kristan’s yoga journey has been guided by Patanjali: "When you are inspired by some great purpose, some extraordinary project, all your thoughts break their bounds. Your mind transcends limitations, your conscious expands in every direction and you find yourself in a new, great, and wonderful world. Dormant forces, faculties and talents become alive and you discover yourself to be a greater person by far than you ever dreamed yourself to be.
