Spring Cleanse with Jeanne

June 4th - 13th

 

 Happy Spring! It's time to clean house and lighten up!

 

 Join Holistic Health Counselor Jeanne Magazu for

 The Heart of Nourishment Spring Cleanse in June!

 

This cleanse will make you feel light in your body and clear in your mind.  

During the cleanse you eat simple whole foods in specific combinations. This makes digestion easier which in turns gives you a lot more energy.

 

As an overview; the cleanse has 3 Phases

 

Phase 1: 75% vegetable and 25% fruit

Phase 2:  optional grain phase

Phase 3: add in protein in the form of nuts, seeds, beans 

(some fish/egg/soy products allowed too)

 

The majority of what you eat is vegetables supplemented with small portions of grains and proteins so you can continue with your daily routine.  

 

Typically the cleanse is 10 days but many people continue with Phase 3 for longer because they feel so great on it and are losing weight. 

 Each Phase is 2-4 days long.

 

During the cleanse you eliminate: caffeine, alcohol, sugar, dairy, wheat, meat and processed foods like pasta, bread, cookies, crackers etc.

 

The cleanse can be adapted to your life circumstances.  First time cleansers may opt for a modified version.

 

To have a succesful cleanse you must prepare !!

 

We will meet a week ahead of the actual start date in order to discuss how to prepare and what to expect.

 

The cleanse time period is approximately June 4th - 13th

We are excited and proud to have graduated our second group of joyful, strong, inspired and dynamic teachers this past Sunday!

They celebrated by teaching to a full house on graduation day and sharing their wisdom and talents with our Solstice community. 

 

Our Solstice 200 hour, yoga alliance certified Yoga and Meditation Teacher Training offers the opportunity to students to to pursue their interests in many aspects of the eight limbs of the practice of yoga, particularly How We Treat Ourselves, How We Treat Others, Breath, Meditation, and Intellectually Awakening in addition to Yoga Postures and Anatomical Alignment. 

 

Designed as an in-house retreat, each of the 10 weekends will leave you feeling challenged, inspired, joyful and loved. Whether you plan to deepen your own wisdom or pursue a career of teaching to others, the Solstice Yoga and Meditation Teacher Training will offer you the tools to craft the life you want to live.

Yoga Reaches Out - Team North Shore Yogis

In two weeks, on Sunday, April 29, myself and over 1,000 other yogis will gather at Gillette Stadium for a day of Yoga, Music, Dance, Creative Vendors, Inspiration, PERspiration and Lots of Warm Hugs.

 

It’s the 8th Annual Yoga Reaches Out New England Yogathon, to benefit the Wellness Program at Boston Children Hospital. 

Yoga Reaches Out harnesses the incredible power of our community to help families and sick children. We roll out our mats at this life changing, world changing event and enjoy a day filled with inspiring presenters, friends, fundraising and the power of togetherness. Aren’t we a bunch of Lucky Yogis! 

 

The YRO organization has inspired me and my team, Team North Shore Yogis,  to help the Wellness Program at Boston Children’s Hospital and the continued mission of Yoga Reaches Out. You may recall I had the great honor of being one of the featured teachers at this event 2 years ago - what an indescribable (and slightly frightening 😳) thrill to teach to over 1000 Yogis under The Patriots roof!  Worth every gray hair.

 

In addition I have visited the BCH Wellness Program in Boston where the yoga, meditation, and reiki are shared with parents and caregivers of the patients. Through my current Solstice Yoga & Meditation Teacher Trainings - I’m raising additional Strong Teachers to help BCH increase the BCH programming up here on Boston’s North Shore.

Team North Shore Yogis has set a goal of $15,000, and it is our collective event goal to raise $500,000 this year and make a HUGE difference in the lives of children in need. This is how we take our yoga off of the mat, and into the world! Thanks to thoughtful & generous friends & family like YOU - our Team North Shore Yogis has been one of the top Yoga Reaches Out FUNdraising teams each year - the more we raise, the closer we get to the front of the stadium and most importantly the more we actually rai$e fund$ AND $pirits to help the kids and families at Boston Children’s Hospital ❤
